Each week I’ll be bringing you Arsenal Tweets of the Week. This is a roundup from a small selection of Arsenal-related tweets chosen by me.
If only Arsenal were as good at winning games as their fans are at using social media. This week we found out that Arsenal is the first Premier League to reach 5 million followers on Twitter. They even put together a video to celebrate that fact and, of course, thank the fans for their support. Did you get a mention? No, neither did @Fresh_Arsenal or yours truly:

And now for something completely different …
Did you see Gedion Zelalem’s tweet? If so, do you think this means he’s going to be playing for the US Men’s National Team (USMNT)? The tweet was short. Very short:

By all accounts our cousins across the pond are already quite taken with him if their tweets are anything to go by:

Having Gedion Zelalem switch nationalities to American is the best Christmas present I could have asked for. @MenInBlazers

If Zelalem chose to represent the U.S., then the future will continue looking very bright.

I’m going to name my first born child Zelalem Jr.

Oh sweet another German switching nationalities and playing for the US, by the next world cup we’ll probably win it. #Gedion #Zelalem

Though there was more than one cynic:

Well, that’s it for this week. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and the best of luck to the Arsenal in their game against QPR on Boxing Day.
