There are only a few wonders in this world…are we alone in this universe? Will we ever buy a striker? And will Piers Morgan ever accept he is wrong?
But one mystery for me is how on earth did Mesut Ozil not win the Man Of The Match Award for his performance against Crystal Palace.
The German international completed 54 out of 55 passes (98% completion), with 37 out of 38 them in Palace’s final third. His passing in the final third also led to 10 crosses, 5 chances being created and assisting the opening goal for Olivier Giroud.
If you unfortunately missed the game and are hoping to watch highlights this evening, I absolutely hope they give Arsenal the credit they deserve. Although only finishing 2-1, Mesut Ozil absolutely dominated the game and really showed his quality, which included a back heel-flick against a Palace defender. Mesut really showed off his £42.5million price tag this week, and this could possibly lead to one of his most successful seasons in England yet. Unfortunately, a MOTM award isn’t sitting in his home at the moment, but hopefully he can kick on from here.
