Arsenal are looking to retain their FA Cup with a fourth round trip to Southampton the next hurdle in the fight.
The Gunners are likely to make some changes for the game, with an extremely busy schedule possibly causing fitness concerns for some. Here’s how we think the Gunners will line up.
GK – Mat Ryan
After completing a move to Arsenal on Friday, Ryan could be in line for an immediate debut on Saturday as the club may look to ease the pressure on Bernd Leno.
RB – Cedric Soares
Cedric impressed against Newcastle in the last league outing and deserves to keep his place for this fixture. He should be fresh and ready to play after very limited appearances this season to date.
CB – David Luiz
CB – Gabriel Magalhaes
LB – Ainsley Maitland-Niles
CM – Thomas Partey
Partey made his first start since returning from injury and excelled in a 60 minute spell against Newcastle. He was taken off to remain fresh and is likely to come back into the line up for this one. He gives Arsenal a vital new dimension in midfield.
CM – Dani Ceballos
RM – Nicolas Pepe
AM – Emile Smith Rowe
After being taken off against Newcastle after another impressive performance, Smith Rowe should be fresh and available to play. And with the Gunners seemingly set to bring in Martin Odegaard, the pressure to keep Smith Rowe fit will be eased.
LM – Gabriel Martinelli
After picking up a knock, Martinelli is back fit and will want to pick up where he left off. The Brazilian brought hope and excitement to this team when he returned from injury in December.
ST – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Lacazette has been excelling in the central striker role lately, but he probably needs some time off. Aubameyang got back in the goals against Newcastle and a chance through the middle today, in a competition he loves, could do him the world of good.
