5. Danny Welbeck
Here is the one option that will most likely split opinions. I myself, along with many others, have criticised Danny Welbeck on a number of occasions. However, every time I have criticised him, it has been when he’s been stuck out on the left wing. He stumbles around with the ball without really knowing what to do with it. When he is played up front, he knows exactly what his aim is. He is there to score goals and he is a very capable finisher. He doesn’t seem to feature greatly in Van Gaal’s plans, with all three of Rooney, Van Persie and Hernandez seemingly in front of him in the pecking order. That means that he would be relatively cheap; £15million in fact. That’s a good price for a 23 year old, English striker with plenty of hunger and the ability to go with it. The big question is, would Manchester United sell to Arsenal?
