5 Reasons Why Arsenal Will Retain The FA Cup

Same Job, Different Profiles

For both teams this is a game that either know they can win, but when it comes to the men running those sides, things take a very different perspective.

For Arsene Wenger, this is now his 19th year in charge of Arsenal, and in that time he’s pulled off five FA Cup trophies, three Premier League titles and not forgetting the Invincibles squad.

He’s been there and he’s faced it all, he knows how act on a match day experience like this, and for the majority of the game he will know which players will make the biggest impact at certain times.

But when you look at Tim Sherwood, things take a very different turn. The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder took charge of Villa back in March and since then things have been up and down for him.

In his managerial career, Villa stand officially as the second team he has managed professionally, which means his experience doesn’t quite match up to the Gunners boss.

As a player, Sherwood enjoyed plenty of success off the field, but his famous ability to lose his emotions will undoubtedly haunt him on May 30th.

All it takes is for one decision to not go his way, or a controversial goal being knocked in by Arsenal on the break, for Sherwood to lose his ways.

Don’t get me wrong I feel like Sherwood has done a massive job at Villa, and my deepest respects go out to the man, but when it comes to an occasion as big as an FA Cup final, he simply won’t have the composure that his players will look up to.
