4. Bolstering our attack
As mentioned above, new signings will play a big part in our competitiveness next season and the most important of all will be the acquisition of a few attacking players. Firstly, Olivier can’t hold the fort by himself and he needs another striker to help bear some of the pressure. Most of the papers seem to be suggesting that Karim Benzema is the man Arsène is looking to add to our attacking line, and he would be a huge step in the right direction.
It also seems that Arsène is looking to add another winger to the squad and the two names that have been mentioned so far are Ángel Di María and Antoine Griezmann. Both are pacey, both like to run at defenders and both can score goals. Adding another fast winger to our squad would give us a new attacking dimension. As well as players like Ramsey, Wilshere and Özil looking for killers through balls to the striker, players such as Walcott, Griezmann and Di María can add potency to our counter attacks and beat defenders.
