Jack Wilshere: £30m
Manchester City are hovering around looking for young, English players to help rebuild their squad for next year and are said to be eying Jack Wilshere. Whilst it’s unlikely Arsenal will sell, £30m is a very big amount for a player not guaranteed a starting spot and with plenty of injury history.
Like Walcott, the question would be whether selling Wilshere would be beneficial both financially and for football reasons. The answer is likely to be no and Arsene Wenger has stated that the club do not need to sell unnecessarily.
However this is Manchester City and they could blow the Gunners out of the water with a ridiculous bid, which would be impossible to turn down, and very high wages for Wilshere. Is it worth turning down that much money?
