2 – Gianluigi Donnarumma
Calling him world class already may be a bit premature, but Donnarumma is certainly destined to become that calibre of a player, if he isn’t already. He is only 18 years old, but already the number one goalkeeper for AC Milan and standing at 6ft 5’, he is a menacing figure between the sticks. Amazingly he has already made over 50 senior appearances for Milan and has been capped by Italy twice. Arsenal are in the market for a new long term shot stopper and Donnarumma would certainly fit the bill and give the Gunners a new number one for the next 15 years. He’s been dubbed the next Buffon and his early performances for Milan have done enough to justify that label. Petr Cech could act as an experienced back up keeper next season, whilst Woijech Szczesny and David Ospina will almost certainly be moved on. Again, he won’t come cheap – should Milan indicate they are willing to sell, I expect them to receive offers well in excess of £30million – do Arsenal have the financial muscle to compete?
