3 Things We Learned About Arsenal In Narrow Besiktas Win

1. Jack Wilshere can still be a world class player

When Jack Wilshire entered the scene back in 2008, becoming the youngest ever Arsenal debutant at 16 years of age, we all thought that we had something special on our hands. On January 2010 Jack Wilshere signed on loan for Bolton and this was where his profile begun to escalate, with a string of impressive performances. However since the 2010-2011 season Wilshere’s career has been marred by injuries. Each injury seemingly leading to the next and each one taking an increasing amount of time to heal. With Ramsey absent the other night against Besiktas the pressure of gaining Arsenal access to this year’s Champions league was shifted onto the shoulders of Jack. He seemed to relish the opportunity, setting up the goal which ultimately decided the contest and putting in a man of the match performance.  Given a run in the side in his preferred position we are bound to see a vast improvement in the Jack Wilshere we have been accustomed to in recent seasons, perhaps finally unlocking the potential we all know he is capable of. See the other two things by clicking below.
