With a big name and large transfer fee always comes high expectancy, and knowing the English media, they are chomping at the bit to start labelling Alexis a flop. Patience is all that is needed with Alexis as he is still adapting to Arsenal’s style of play, getting to grips with English football and finding out what role he is best suited to in the Arsenal side. We saw him in a variety of positions against Palace as he partnered Sanogo up front at times and drifted to both flanks as well. It was by no means a poor performance as his work rate was incredible in both attacking and defensive areas, but he was however, not as effective as we would have hoped. He showed flashes of brilliance and always had spectators on the edge of their seats, there is a lot more to come from Alexis. With his eagerness to impress and make a mark, it won’t be long before Sanchez makes headlines for all the right reasons.
