2 – Raheem Sterling + cash for Alexis Sanchez
Alexis Sanchez looks certain to leave this month and whilst City appear insistent on a cash-only deal, Arsenal look to have their eyes on Raheem Sterling, who is already mainly a substitute under Guardiola. With the likes of Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva and many others to contend with, Sterling’s first team football opportunities are limited at the moment – despite scoring two vital goals for his team so far this season. Arsene Wenger is a big fan of Sterling and will be reluctant to lose Alexis for just money, with not a lot of time to do anything with it. Lots of reports suggest Sterling could be part of a deal, but Sky Sources have today suggested he will not be involved in negotiations. Arsenal are unlikely to find a better player than Sterling to replace Alexis at this stage of the window, so they should be pushing for his inclusion in any deal, in my opinion.
