3 Most Dangerous Galatasaray Players to Watch vs. Arsenal

I warn you, I’m no expert when it comes to my knowledge of Turkish football teams, let alone the majority of their players. Mind you things could have been very different had I continued to reside in Turkey; although I would NEVER have been a Galatasaray fan. Fenerbahçe was my team of choice. Last season Galatasaray finished in second place in Turkey’s Super Lig. This season they’re currently sitting in second place. Conversely, Galatasaray are sitting not so pretty at the bottom of Group D in the 2014/15 UEFA Champions League, having managed to lose all their games to date except for a draw against Anderlecht.

Aurélien Chedjou – Defender
The 29-year-old Cameroonian international (31 caps) plays in a central defence position. Chedjou has made five appearances for Galatasaray in this campaign with an 85% pass success rate as well as managing to grab one assist. Not bad considering Galatasaray have only managed to score three goals so far. He has excellent passing skills and is great at intercepting. Chedjou’s one weakness would appear to be winning (or not winning) aerial duels; however, standing at 1.84m he may well have an advantage over some of Arsenal’s more diminutive players. His skill at indirect set pieces is the main threat to Arsenal keeping the ball forward.
