2. Joel Campbell shines in the World Cup
The second story I’ve picked out ties in with the Balotelli one. Joel Campbell has enjoyed a fantastic World Cup with Costa Rica so far and for a while now I’ve been wondering when we might get to see him in an Arsenal shirt. It seems like this season may well be the one. Joel has expressed his desire to have a crack at getting in to the Arsenal first team and Arsène has confirmed that the 21 year old will be in an Arsenal shirt for pre-season. However, there has been one worrying development concerning the Balotelli transfer. Apparently, AC Milan will lower his price tag if Arsenal are willing to include Joel Campbell in the deal. Balotelli is a top player, but I’m not sure we should give up Joel Campbell for him. Personally I’d pay the money for Balotelli, keep Campbell and forget about Rémy. I would be more than happy with a front three of Balotelli, Giroud and Campbell at Arsenal next season.
