3. Mathieu Valbuena
Mathieu Valbuena has started both games for France in Brazil and has contributed heavily to the two impressive wins for France. He has scored one and assisted one, and has seemed to have linked up very well with Oliver Giroud and Karim Benzema, which could be a possible front two for the gunners next season.
Valbuena was included in Didier Deschamps world cup squad and is expected to feature thoroughly in the world cup quest to get France back on the positive side. He is a very experienced attacking midfielder and although he might be 29 years old, you wouldn’t think it with the pace and drive he shows in games. He has 227 appearances under his name, playing for Marseille and it seems he is improving as he gets older and older.
After a fantastic 8 years in France playing for Marseille, he is looking for a move away from the popular French club due to them finishing outside the top 3 in Ligue 1 and not getting into the Champions league. After the world cup he will decide the best place for himself and his family, but hopefully if Arsene and the board are interesting in the Frenchmen, which I know Wenger is a big fan of the tricky player, then we should look to sign him as his age may play a factor on the amount we pay and it could only be in the region of £10-£15 million
He has been described by many as an explosive player who is capable of quickly taking two opponents out of the game to create space, above all due to his dribbling skills. He has been deployed as a wide midfielder or a winger throughout his career in his home country, but I can also see him being capable of playing in an attacking midfielder role or behind the striker.
