Emirates Enthusiasm

It seems that if you forget about the audacious ticket prices, there is something really rather good to come out of visiting the Emirates stadium these days.
The Gunners now have nine straight consecutive wins at home in the Premier League, an impressive record that stretches back to 1999.
In those last nine games the boys have netted a total of 26 goals, including an impressive 5-0 win over Villa and of course the 4-1 victory over Liverpool.
And it isn’t just the strikers who make the headlines at the Emirates, with the Gunners conceding just four goals at home since their last loss which came back in November.
That of course was the cruel 2-1 loss to Manchester United after this Arsenal side simply switched off.
But now, in mid-April, teams are beginning to fear their trips to North London, and we’re not really sure what has changed about the 60,000 capacity crowds, but lets just say we don’t want it to go away.
Suggestions could quite easily be behind the inclusion of Mesut Ozil in the line-up, as since the German arrived last year, Arsenal haven’t lost a single league game in which he has played.
Whatever you feel the reason is, when you put this close-knit Arsenal side together with a crowd that can finally come together to get behind the boss, you’ve got a pretty good combination.
