2. Eric Lamela
Lamela is another player who didn’t make the impact he would have liked in his debut season in England. The Argintine joined from Roma last summer for a hefty £30m price tag. He only managed three starts all league campaign and failed to score in an injury hit season.
Like Chadli, Lamela has been deployed in a free role by the new manager Pochettino. We have started to see why he warranted such a high price tag. The freedom allows Lamela to pop up all over the pitch and this has been a big feature of his play so far this season.
Look for him to pop up out wide and through the middle, but always looking to push Spurs forward.
