Youth reporter, Jeorge Bird, who recently revealed the news that Jeff Renne-Adelaide received a promotion to the first team, believes three youngsters are heading for the exit door.

Despite a number of academy members being invited to train with the senior squad, each of Isaac Hayden, Glen Kamara and Wellington Silva didn’t take part in proceedings at Colney.

Also missing from the picture was the highly promising Jon Toral, who after playing on loan at Birmingham is expected to spend a year with La Liga side CF Granada.

Despite the trio mentioned above also committing to loan spells last season they never really did enough to impress, and look set to miss out on a chance to break into the first team.

Isaac Hayden is the standout name of the three, after he spent the 2015/16 campaign under newly promoted Hull City, with Chuba Akpom also joining him at the Tigers.

Having captained the Under-21’s side too, Hayden was targetting the chance to succeed Per Mertesacker at centre back, with Calum Chambers also in the running.

But with Hayden, along with Kamara and Wellington missing from training Jeorge Bird believes the trio could have their bags half packed, with Wenger not confident on their chances in the Premier League.

Competition is always strong amongst the youth ranks and with a season that features Thierry Henry and Steve Bould as coaches, the standards are only going to increase.

A number of Arsenal’s academy stars will have the sights set on doing impressing the pair from the start, with Stephy Mavididi and Reiss Nelson two of eight youngsters called up to train this week.

Arsene Wenger will be working out who he wants to involve in this summer’s pre-season action, with several players away on international duty a number of youth members are expected to be called upon.
