Everton are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer after some concerning performances from club veteran Tim Howard. The American has lost his form and as he is about to turn 37, there is concern that his form will not be coming back anytime soon.

Howard looks set to move back to America and join a club in the MLS this summer and now Szczesny has emerged as a possible candidate to replace him. Whether Everton are interested in a loan or a permanent deal remains unclear.

Szczesny’s form has been up and down in Italy, but it is unlikely that the Gunners will want him back next season.

Arsenal have Damian Martinez and David Ospina as well as Petr Cech, so there is no immediate need for Woijech Szczesny in the first team. Considering Szczesny has been developing at Arsenal most of his career, though, the Gunners may be reluctant to let the Pole leave on a permanent deal. Perhaps a season-long loan to Roberto Martinez’ side would be more appropriate.

Roma have ruled out signing Szczesny on a permanent deal, so it is possible that the Gunners may have been offering out the player – thus creating Everton’s interest.

Some may forget that Szczesny is still just 25 – do you think he has a future at Arsenal? Comment below.
