2 – Riyad Mahrez
Arsenal could have a clear route to sign Mahrez with the Algerian midfielder seemingly desperate to leave the club but the favourites to sign him, AS Roma, now reportedly assessing other options as they seem to be unwilling to meet Leicester City’s £35million valuation. The Gunners appear to have favoured a move for Thomas Lemar, but a deal with Monaco is looking increasingly unlikely.
For what it’s worth, Mahrez would be a great addition in my opinion. He’s a hard working winger that does a lot defensively and most importantly is incredibly efficient going forward. With an attacking trio of Mahrez, Ozil and Alexis, defences would find it incredibly hard to cope as it is not possible to double up on all three! For me, we should be selling inconsistent players like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott who have proven on many occasions that they are not title winning quality players. Mahrez and Vardy carried Leicester City to a Premier League title.
