With England’s comfortable result against Lithuania, Danny ‘Dat Guy’ Welbeck was able to snatch himself a goal, an assist, and the Man of the Match award. Unfortunately, due to Harry Kane’s 80 second goal on his debut, Welbeck was not given the lime light of the media. However, his performance was promising, and with the most important fixtures coming up, it’s the type of performance we love to see.
We will not see Danny play against Italy on Tuesday night, as he was substituted and walked straight down the tunnel, but he does look set to be ready for Saturday.
