Arsenal’s squad has been plagued by injuries this term, which has played it’s part on the squad and their on field performances. With the Gunners forced to play players out of their favoured position, it’s only a matter of time before the  youngsters are called upon to help cope with the issues.
In fact, we have already witnessed this in some capacity with Calum Chambers and Hector Bellerin, though in truth that was never surprising as they were always going to be called upon due to the defensive vulnerabilities created by the lack of numbers. They’ve done well, showing that the youngsters at the club are capable, and these three players should be following them into the first-team picture very soon.
1. Isaac Hayden
Hayden was heavily tipped to start at the centre of defence for the weekend game against Hull City, until a late injury forced him to miss the game. However, he will get his chance on his return as the centre of defence is an area that is very, very light, With Mathieu Debuchy out for a while, Calum Chambers is likely to continue at right-back which leaves just Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesaker in the middle.
Whilst Nacho Monreal is capable of playing there, it is best to have someone who is more natural. Hayden is the player to be called upon and he has been making waves in the reserves, which has led to a lot of supporters calling for him to get his chance soon. Expect him to feature in the coming weeks and he could develop into a key member of the squad.
