The Gunners need to win, but against QPR, Arsene Wenger must view this as a chance to rotate his tired squad. It is expected he will do just that.
The likes of Lukas Podolski and Tomas Rosicky could be handed rare starts in place of the heavily used Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla. Wenger hinted in his press conference that Yaya Sanogo might be involved in the game also. Here’s how I would line up if it were up to me. I’d give the likes of Podolski a chance to impress, whilst maintaining quality with Cazorla and Welbeck to ensure we win the game.
Arsenal predicted line-up to face QPR
Szczesny
Chambers Debuchy Mertesacker Gibbs
Flamini
Walcott Cazorla Rosicky Podolski
Welbeck
Giroud is on great form, but considering he has just returned from a long term injury, I would hand Welbeck a start in this one and give Giroud a chance to rest up for the next couple of games. He can always be utilised from the bench, which is where he seems to be very effective.
Team News
No new injuries, Sanogo and Rosicky return and Bellerin faces a late fitness test.
