Scraping through the FA Cup third round and sitting in 5th place in the Premier League, it’s blatant that Arsenals fans were due a pick-me-up.
And it looks as if they’ve been handed it with the news that Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Francis Coquelin will all extend their contracts by lengthy amounts.
Arsene Wenger was seen posing with the trio this morning as they put pen to paper on deals that will keep them with the Gunners, providing much needed stability across the pitch.
Arsenal are now expected to begin finalising the details surrounding Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez’s contract situation, but for now let’s see how Twitter reacted to the news today:
Say what you will, but Giroud, Koscielny and even Coquelin are the definition of loyal players. Delighted for them to sign a new contract.

Koscielny signing a new contract is great news. Giroud and Coquelin are decent players, I just hope they become squad players next season.
