It’s not often you get the chance to quiz some of the biggest names in football to find out what they really know!
But that’s what happened when MBNA gave young Gunners fan, Joe, the opportunity of a lifetime when he met up with Alex Iwobi, Granit Xhaka and Olivier Giroud ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup Final.
Joe needed a helping hand to get his homework out-of-the-way so he could be sat down to (hopefully) watch Arsenal lift the oldest trophy in English football.
Now of course, this wasn’t going to be straightforward and despite dressing up like they were heading back to school, the Arsenal aces found themselves scratching their heads on more than one occasion.
What started out as having three extra brains on hand soon turned into a fierce competition, with Joe’s favourite player Alex Iwobi storming into the lead.
At one stage Joe even managed to get Iwobi to pledge his footballing future to the North London club, and now has the words “I’m gonna play for Arsenal forever” saved on his phone!
Giroud, who’s known for his cutting edge attitude when it comes to sneaking a winner on the pitch, wasn’t holding back either and was determined to out-do his teammates.
As for Granit Xhaka, who joined the Gunners for over £34million last summer, could really do with sitting in at some after-school revision sessions.
The one thing that is for sure is Joe’s homework help request couldn’t have come at a better time, with the trio having warmed up their brains for their date with Wembley.
Arsenal head up the road to play Chelsea in Saturday’s FA Cup final, so you can be sure they’ll have Joe to thank if Iwobi, Xhaka or Giroud get the winner.
