Arsenal are preparing to go back in with a second offer to buy Aston Villa midfielder, Douglas Luiz.
The news has come out of nowhere on deadline day with the Gunners now desperate to fill the gap left by injuries to Mohamed Elneny and Thomas Partey.
And after having a first offer of £20m rejected, many reliable journalists are reporting that Edu Gaspar will go back in to test Villa’s resolve.

Aston Villa are stating that they are determined to keep the 24-year-old but it’s believed Luiz is pushing for the move which we have more details on.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have already agreed personal terms on a five-year contract with the Brazilian, who would be registered in time to feature on Sunday.

So essentially we are now waiting on an agreement between the two clubs which seems to be close given the fact Arsenal have gone in with a second bid.
Just £3m extra shows that Arsenal are close to Villa’s valuation considering they will likely lose Luiz on a free transfer next summer given he has one year on his deal.
