Arsenal may have had a disappointing season when it came to silverware, but it seems some players are showing us they’ve still got it at this summer’s Euro’s.
The Gunners new boy Granit Xhaka has already cleaned up the group stage with back-to-back man of the match performances, and now Mesut Ozil has joined his club.
As well as that, we saw Aaron Ramsey pick up MOTM by grabbing an assist and goal during the 3-0 victory over Russia, and once again Ozil showed us why he was worth £42million.
During last nights 1-0 victory over Northern Ireland, the German playmaker quite simply ran the show whilst playing in his familiar number 10 role, with Mario Gomez scoring the only goal of the game.
At just 27 Ozil has established himself as the new leading figure in this World Cup winning Germany squad, that statement was backed up with a stunning 98% pass completion rate.
Fresh Arsenal have searched through the internet to pick out some of the best reaction from both Arsenal fans and football bloggers on what was a special evening for our star man.

There are people who don’t rate Mesut Ozil. Don’t associate with those people, they can’t be trusted

If Mesut Ozil lost his skills, eye for a pass, footballing brain, dribbling, and passion he’d still be the best CAM in the world

Mesut Ozil was named man of the match – and he was outstanding – but McGovern played the game of his life in the N Ireland goal.
