5. David Ospina
Ospina seems certain to leave with the arrival of Petr Cech. Woijech Szczesny seems happy to remain at Arsenal and fight for his place, which means Ospina will be forced out after a decent opening season with the Gunners. It’s a shame to see the Colombian go. My favoured situation would be to loan out Szczesny, and keep Ospina as Cech’s back up.
I don’t think Szczesny wants to be loaned out though, after so long at number one – it seems like a massive backwards step in his career that he is probably reluctant to take. If he stays, he can learn from the best in Cech and hopefully develop into the goalkeeper we once hoped he would.
