Arsenal have been charged for breaching the FA’s Football Agents Regulations over the transfer of young 20 year old right back Calum Chambers.
The player’s agent, Alan Middleton, has been charged by the FA for breaking the regulations over the full-back’s transfer, and will have an extended period up to the 17th June 2015 to respond to the allegations.
Since arriving at the Emirates in June 2014, the young under 21s starter gained his spot in the England team, alongside Arsenal teammates Kieran Gibbs, Alex Oxlaide Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere. Although playing very little during the entire season with the breakthrough of Hector Bellerin, Chambers has shown great potential and looks set to play central next season.
Arsenal have also been charged but have until the 26th June to respond to the charge. Rumours of either a fine or transfer ban have been thrown around but surely it isn’t as bad as it sounds?
