3. Lars Bender
Wenger has always admired the work of Lars Bender. He is very much interested in the Bayer Leverkusen star Bender, who represents a genuine alternative to Khedira. Although It would be a much lower key signing than Khedira it would also be cheaper with a fee in the region of £15 million being touted. The German international, who missed the World Cup through injury, is widely renowned as one of the toughest tacklers in the Bundesliga and would join a growing German contingent at the Emirates. He would feel the void that has never truly been filled since the departure of Patrick Vieira and would make for a great signing.
All three players mentioned would fill the gap in the heart of the midfield that has been devoid for so long. I would personally chose Khedira because I believe that he is a world class midfielder and in a class above the other two. However any one of them that Arsene choses to buy would be welcomed with open arms at Arsenal, who are looking to build on the success of last season.
