Arsenal are reportedly looking at a forward who may help bring another option to the frontline, and reduce the reliance on Kai Havertz.
That man is Charles De Ketelaere’s. The Belgian’s career has seen a turnaround at Atalanta, putting him back on the radar of top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham, Newcastle, and West Ham – with Mikel Arteta a big admirer according to Caught Offside.
After struggling to find his footing at AC Milan, where expectations and competition held him back, he’s now thriving in Atalanta’s system, regaining his form and confidence.
Arsenal’s interest is notable, as De Ketelaere shares a similar playing style to Kai Havertz—a technically gifted, versatile attacking midfielder with diligent defensive work rate.
Since Arsenal are structuring much of their play around Havertz, De Ketelaere’s potential arrival could deepen their tactical options, adding another flexible, intelligent player to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
He’s still just 23, so of an age where Arsenal are often happy to invest. He’d be an exciting addition to the squad, and has the ability to play in a number of roles.
This renewed interest signals the midfielder’s restored reputation and potential fit in the Premier League. While no official moves have been made, De Ketelaere’s resurgence has once again made him a player to watch closely.
Arsenal may need a boost in January, and signing this player could help get them over the line in the major competitions. Atalanta wouldn’t be keen to sell but may not be able to resist a big bid from the Gunners.
