Will Arsenal sign a striker? That’s been the question for many windows now.
After a failed attempt at landing Benjamin Sesko in the summer, Arsenal could go back in for another centre-forward, and one could be on the market in January.
Arsenal are reportedly eyeing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as a potential January signing, with TEAMtalk revealing he’s viewed as a more realistic target than some of the Premier League’s top forwards. The Serbian could offer the firepower Arsenal need to boost their title challenge.
While Mikel Arteta has praised Kai Havertz for his contributions up front, the team still lacks a traditional number nine to complement their attacking options. Vlahovic, known for his physical presence and clinical finishing, could fill that gap perfectly. His performances in Serie A have proven he can handle the pressure at a high level, and at just 24, he has the potential to grow even further.
Arsenal’s interest in Vlahovic reflects their determination to strengthen their squad for the challenges ahead. With a busy fixture list and the title race heating up, adding a player of his calibre could make a huge difference. Juventus, however, won’t let their star striker go without a fight, so getting this deal done won’t be easy.
If Arsenal can pull it off, Vlahovic would bring a new dimension to their attack and give them a real edge in their push for silverware this season. It’s one to keep an eye on as January approaches.
Personally, my focus in January would be to bring in a wide player, particularly a left-sided top forward. Ademola Lookman is my favourite target.
I think in Havertz, Trossard and a bit of Jesus, we have options through the middle, but we lack top quality on the left right now.
I would then turn my attention to upgrading on Trossard and / or Jesus in the summer, when Alexander Isak could come back into view.
