Arsenal have plenty to do in the transfer window this summer and with just one week of the Premier League season remaining, the club will be keen to get some of their business done before what is likely to be a disruptive period whilst the Euros are being played in June.
Arsenal are looking to sign back up for Kieran Tierney this summer before heading into next season.
Tierney’s injury in recent months complicated Arsenal’s approach as with no natural alternative, Mikel Arteta tried different options as a workaround, with Cedric Soares and Granit Xhaka featuring as left-backs.
Arteta will want a more natural left-sided option next season, in case of Kieran picking up an injury again.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have stepped up their efforts to secure the free transfer of Ryan Bertrand.
The Mail report incorrectly suggests Sead Kolasinac contract expires this summer, he actually has a year left, however, Arsenal are likely to be willing to let him leave for next to nothing.
31-year-old Bertrand is a homegrown player and has a wealth of Premier League experience. Turning 32 in August though, Arsenal need to avoid handing the player a long contract.
A two-year deal seems appropriate, but with the likes of Manchester City and Leicester City also said to be interested, Ryan may demand a three-year deal from interested parties.
