The transfer window is hotting up on the Arsenal front. The Gunners are now being heavily linked with a move for Loïc Rémy, with The Telegraph and the Daily Mail reporting Arsenal are increasingly confident of sealing a deal for the French forward.
The Gunners are looking to bolster their attacking options this summer and the latest reports suggest Arsene Wenger is looking to add not one but two forward to Arsenal’s frontline. Loïc Rémy could be the first addition. He’s 27 years-old, quick and experienced in the Premier League. He could play out-wide or upfront and has an £8million release clause in his QPR contract.
The second forward is likely to be a ‘bigger name’ and also cost a lot more. The names being linked are Mario Mandzukic, Mario Balotelli and more recently Alexis Sanchez. The interest in Sanchez is more concrete and makes more sense, especially if Arsene Wenger wants to add two new forwards to his squad. Sanchez and Remy would add pace, goals, versatility and directness to Arsenal’s attack. Any deal for Alexis Sanchez is likely to cost in the region of £26million, but several clubs are interested in the Chilean who has impressed further at the World Cup.
