Arsenal are ready to do business on deadline day and the Gunners look set to move for a Premier League midfielder.
The Gunners know Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz only too well as he nearly spoiled the party on Wednesday night. Luiz scored straight from a corner and at full time was seen chatting to Gabriel Jesus.
Douglas Luiz would be a slight upgrade on Elneny. I don't really rate him much more than that. He's a better than nothing signing, though and Arteta knows him.

Now Arsenal are ready to test Villa’s resolve to sign the player, according to Alex Crook of TalkSport, amongst others.
Luiz has fallen out of favour under Gerrard this season and with less than a year remaining on his Villa contract, there could well be a deal to be done.
Luiz is 24 years old and was previously at Manchester City during Mikel Arteta’s time at the club. He’s also been capped 9 times for Brazil, so technical director Edu Gaspar will be well aware of his qualities.
Arsenal must sign at least a midfielder today, they look particularly short in that area following injuries to Thomas Partey and Mohammed Elneny.
Luiz is rated at £34million on transfermarkt, but is likely to cost a fair bit less due to his contract situation.
