Arsenal are making the first moves to secure Palermo’s £30m rated striker Paulo Dybala, according to reports in Italy cited by Metro.
The 21-year-old Argentine is considered to be one of world football’s brightest stars and has attracted the interest of Juventus, amongst others.
However, Arsenal are said to have made the first approach as they will meet with the player’s representatives in the coming days as they look to secure a mega-deal for the striker.
Arsenal could lodge a hefty contract offer and are said to be more than willing to meet Palermo’s asking price of £28.9m.
Dybala is enjoying fine form this season, where he has netted 12 goals in 27 appearances- just one shy that Arsenal’s leading league scorers Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez.
A transfer could raise speculation on the future of Arsenal’s current forward trio Yaya Sanogo, Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski- who are all currently on-loan at Crystal Palace, Villarreal and Inter Milan respectively.
A deal for Dybala would strengthen Arsenal’s front-line and provide a decent alternative to Giroud up top.
