Report: Arsenal could be set to make significant £30m sale for back up player

With Vincent Kompany set to be at the helm of Bayern Munich, there’s growing speculation that he may look to a former teammate as his first signing.

This move could be mutually beneficial for both clubs and the player himself.

The player in question is Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has found himself dropping down the pecking order at Arsenal. The Ukranian international might see this as an opportunity for more consistent playing time. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, are in search of a new left-back and Kompany’s familiarity with Zinchenko could make this a seamless transition.

According to recent reports, Bayern’s management considers Zinchenko an ideal candidate to fill the role of Alphonso Davies.  With Kompany’s confidence in his former teammate, Zinchenko could quickly become a pivotal part of Bayern’s squad.

For Arsenal, this transfer could bring in a substantial fee, likely around £30million. This sum could be reinvested into the squad, allowing the Gunners to strengthen other areas as they continue to compete at the highest level.

While Arsenal are optimistic about Jurrien Timber’s potential to play at left back, Zinchenko’s potential move could be seen as a strategic decision, benefiting both the player and the club. Additionally, Newcastle has shown interest in Zinchenko, indicating that his market value remains high.

It could be a final opportunity to cash in on the injury prone 27-year-old, with the likes of Jorrel Hato and Ferdi Kadioglu both capable of playing left back, linked with a switch to Arsenal.

As the transfer window approaches, this story will be one to watch, highlighting how player movements can strategically benefit all parties involved in the competitive world of football.
