Arsenal are ready to improve their attacking options next month by taking on European giants for the signature of Gabriel Boschilia, according to reports.
Along with a host of Premier League clubs, the Gunners were first alerted to the youngsters ability following his nomination as FIFA’s Golden Boy award, which was later won by Renato Sanches.
Boschilia has risen to become a regular at AS Monaco and many believe he’s too good to be playing at the Ligue 1 side and interest from some top level clubs is tempting.
The report comes from Foot Mercato which states Wenger is ready to go all out in order to pull off a first Premier League title since the 2003/04 campaign.
However, Monaco aren’t playing easy and knowing the standard of player they’ve got on their books, won’t be keen to let the 20-year-old leave on the cheap no matter the size of the interested club.
A hectic fixture list in January and the potential of being involved in Champions League and FA Cup action throughout the New Year period is something that could tempt Wenger to bid.
Long-term injuries to Welbeck and Cazorla has stripped back his attacking options in midfield and if there are to be a couple more setbacks, he would definitely need to go into the market.
