2 – Wissam Ben Yedder
A player many won’t be familiar with – Wissam Ben Yedder has been a revelation for Toulouse in their recent campaigns. The 23-year-old netted 16 times in Ligue 1 last season, and finished joint second in the top scorers chart behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
At 5’6”, this classy centre-forward lacks any physical presence, and instead uses quick feet and intelligent positioning to create goal scoring opportunities. A low centre of gravity combined with excellent technique allow Ben Yedder to glide past defenders and slot the ball into the back of the opposition’s net with ease. Like Lacazette, he is capable of scoring from a variety of positions, and would give Arsenal a different option up front.
The Frenchman would cost somewhere in the region of £10 million, and would offer us pace, flair, ingenuity, and goals.
