Arsenal fans decided to make a Twitter takeover of their own on Thursday as they took to the social media site to voice their opinion on the Spaniard.
With Laurent Koscielny and Isaac Hayden out injured, Arsene Wenger didn’t have much choice as to who to play at centre back. That is only the case due to him not signing enough players in the first place..

I think it’s not Monreal’s fault that he is being forced to play in this position and in truth, his error against Anderlecht aside, he’s done well. The Spaniard was part of a defence that managed back-to-back clean sheets in the league and he has made no other notable errors. Wenger is the one to blame for me, he’s been poor tactically and it’s his fault that there isn’t a real centre back to take Koscielny’s place in his absence.
