David Ospina- 6

Ospina had very little to as Hull failed to create any real chances on goal. With that said, what he did do, he did well.

Hector Bellerin- 6

Bellerin had an all round good game and really looks like he gives Arsenal a little extra when going forward. He wasn’t really tested by Hull but put in a solid performance.

Calum Chambers- 6

It’s another six for the same reason as Ospina and Bellerin. He looked comfortable all game but simply wasn’t put under any pressure by Hull.

Per Mertesacker- 8

Mertesacker has looked suspect this season and has quite rightly come under a lot of criticism. Today though, he had a comfortable game in defence and scored that all-important first goal. Let’s hope it gives him the boost he needs to up his performances in the future.

Nacho Monreal- 6

Monreal’s game was similar story to the other sixes, although he did seem to struggle to deal with Tom Ince at the beginning of the game. However, he soon settled down and looked good for the rest of the game.

Francis Coquelin- 7

Coquelin had a good game in the deep, protective midfield role and, at times, showed creativity with his forward passes. One blip in his game was his stupid two-footed tackle. He was lucky not to get sent off and will hopefully learn from the experience.

Santi Cazorla- 8

Santi has well and truly returned to the slick little Spaniard we knew when he first joined Arsenal. His footwork today was a thing of beauty and he is filling the creative void that is present without the likes of Özil, Ramsey and Wilshere.

Tomas Rosicky- 7.5

Rosicky was his usual self today, quiet and classy. A lot of his work goes unnoticed but his elegant passing and drive on the ball makes him a great asset to the team.

Theo Walcott- 6

Theo had an ok game considering that it was his first start in 365 days. He was rusty and should have grabbed a goal or two. However, his movement and ability to get in to goal scoring positions was very encouraging.

Joel Campbell- 5

Joel had a very good chance to make his mark on the team early on when he found himself one on one with the Hull keeper, but failed to convert what was an easy chance. He didn’t really impose himself on the game.

Alexis Sanchez- 8.5

Outstanding work rate, hunger, desire and once again the driving force behind the team. Got a goal that he most definitely deserved after another tireless performance. Majestic.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain- 6

He looked lively when he came on and drove forward with the ball as he so often does. Worryingly though, it looked as if he picked a little injury. Hopefully it’s nothing to serious.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Chuba Akpom both made brief appearances, but their stints in the game aren’t worth rating due to the time they were on the pitch.
