Arsenal were narrow victors over Shakhtar on Tuesday night, as they made it 7 points from a possible 9 in the Champions League.
An own goal, caused by a Gabriel Martinelli shot, was the only goal of the night in the end, despite Leandro Trossard having a chance to double Arsenal’s lead from the penalty spot.
Whilst it was three points, many had concerns over what was a lacklustre performance on a night the team hoped to build confidence and goals.

Men of the match: Gabriel Martinelli. I will give it to Gabi as I feel he has shown promising signs of getting back to his best in recent weeks. In the absence of Odegaard and Saka we need players like him to step up and win games, and his actions helped us do that today. Big shout to Thomas who was good again and Raya, whose late save helped us to the win and made it 3/3 Champions League clean sheets.
