New Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has trained with the Arsenal squad for the first time following his £10million move from Chelsea last month.
Cech, 33 has joined up with his Arsenal teammates ahead of the clubs tour of Asia which kicks off next week. Cech could feature as early as July 15 when the Gunners play a Singapore Select XI.
Here’s some photos of Cech training with his new teammates – another World Class player at Arsenal is exciting times and it might seem a little silly to have an article all about pictures – but it’s very exciting to have another World Class player on board.
Cech’s first competitive game could come against his former club Chelsea on August 2nd when the clubs meet at Wembley to contend for the Community Shield.
With David Ospina still on leave from International duty with Colombia, Cech will contend with Woijech Szczesny and Damian Martinez in pre-season as they all bid for a first team spot, although it would take a lot for either to take the number one spot from Cech right now. It’s all healthy competition though.
