Arsenal have their first big game on the season this Saturday against Manchester City, in this fixture last season Arsenal deserved a win but ended up with a 1-1 draw but hopefully this year Arsenal will come out victorious. Even though Arsenal are unbeaten, their performances and not been up to standard that everyone is expected. A good performance against a team like Man City will make a big statement that Arsenal are here to fight.
With the new signing of Danny Welbeck and his two goals vs Switzerland Arsenal fans are excited to see him in an Arsenal shirt. Likely to starts he will bring pace and movement which is what Arsenal have been lacking since the departure of Robin Van Persie and the injury to Theo Walcott last year.
Arsene Wenger has gone with a new formation this season of 4-1-4-1, with either Flamini or Arteta being in a much deeper role. I dont think that this formation suits Arsenal’s style of play because it leads to players playing out of position Mesut Özil for example. I think Arsenal should go back to a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Arsenal’s most probable starting XI would be: Szczesny, Debuchy, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Wilshere, Alexis, Ozil, Cazorla, Welbeck.
