Alexis Sanchez has been in fine form throughout the season, something Hull City know only too well after the Chilean sensation dominated their defence during the match at the KC Stadium- which extended Arsenal’s unbeaten run in the Premier League to ten matches.
The Gunners were firing on all cylinders and Sanchez was integral to this, showing once again why he is regarded by Arsenal fans as the best player in the Premier League. With performances like this, it’s hard to argue.
WhoScored Rating:Â 10.0
The stat that stands out from the game is obviously Sanchez’ brace, as he scored a deflected free-kick and a fierce finish to take his Premier League goal tally to 16 for the season. That’s a winger, just six goals behind the league’s top-scorer Sergio Aguero- who is incidentally an out-and-out striker.
Alexis could have got his hat-trick, and more, if he took one of his other chances- but a final shot accuracy of 67% from the game is a tremendous return. With figures that high, you will find the net regularly.
Sanchez’ contribution was also golden, as he created three clear-cut chances for his team-mates and had a pass accuracy of 83%. Whilst he did not register an assist in the game, eight in the Premier League is another decent return.
His tally now stands at three goals in his last four games, as he last netted in the 4-1 victory against Liverpool.
