The 21-year-old has been wrapped up in a number of transfer rumours since the window opened, and now Arsene Wenger is ready to launch a bid.

Italian news outlet, TuttoJuve, have reported that the Gunners boss is ready to add another fresh face to the club, with Petr Cech being his only summer signing so far.

And with the attacking talents of Draxler, Wenger could be answering the hopes of the Arsenal supporters who have been waiting out for another top quality arrival.

The German international has picked up 17 goals during his 113 appearances with Schalke, but has been riddled with injuries over the last few seasons.

And that is one of man reasons as to why the German club want to sell up, as they hold out for a bid in the region of £20million, something that Juventus could not agree on.

The Italian giants seemed to have the transfer wrapped up just days ago with personal terms met, but talks stalled when the clubs couldn’t meet with a final figure.

But it seems that money is not an issue at the Emirates, with Joel Campbell’s imminent departure freeing up even more wages that have been loosened by Wenger’s choice to send multiple players out on loan for the 2015/16 campaign.

And with just one recognised centre forward in Olivier Giroud, Arsenal fans are crying out for a new attacker, and Draxler could be the answer but will need time to adapt.

The German midfielder has been most influential whilst playing in the number 10 role or on the wing, but Wenger would be very interested in turning the youngster into an out-and-out striker.

Not only that, but Draxler will become another member of a growing German contingent among the Gunners, and we’d love to see him link up with our star man, Mesut Ozil.
