2. Brilliant Coquelin
When Francis Coquelin was recalled from his loan from Charlton, nobody expected any fireworks from the Frenchman. With Arteta’s injury and Flamini not capable of passing a football, Wenger employed much faith in Coquelin, by starting him in Arsenal’s midfield. Coquelin has put together a string of accomplished performances, and was deservedly awarded another start, this time against Man City.
Coquelin played a pivotal role in Arsenal’s midfield. He was set the role of defensive midfield protection, against the magical David Silva. Coquelin responsed to such pressure, with a consummate display at the home of the champions. The Frenchman revelled alongside Ramsey and Cazorla, which was really pleasant to see. Coquelin even barked some orders to several players, to which is similar to Flamini, but Coquelin at least has the ability to back him up. I hope to see more of the Frenchman in the second half of the season.
