Forwards: Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi
These two have got a huge task on their hands if they’re going to force Ozil and Alexis out of the side this season, but games like this will be good for them.
Walcott has failed to pick up much game time this season even with the departure of The Ox, and this new formation doesn’t really accommodate his talents of running fast.
Iwobi played a lot at CAM during the FA Cup last season and after a brief spell of having little confidence, he’s now back to his best whilst competing for a place in the team.
Walcott is desperate to get back into Wenger’s plans and so I hope to see him tracking back, playing as a pivot point and generally working as a role model to the youngsters.
If it doesn’t work out we’ll have options on the bench to replace either of these two, including Alexis who could do with getting some minutes ahead of the Chelsea game which I expect him to start.
