Arsenal resume their FA Cup defence in a 7th cup encounter against Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow night.
This is undoubtedly a tie neither side will want to lose, especially at this stage of the competition, knowing victory will take either them to at least one trip to Wembley.
Team News
Arsenal will be without Gabriel Paulista, after sustaining a hamstring injury during the 2-1 victory at Loftus Road on Wednesday. The Brazilian centre-back was substituted after 37 minutes on the night, and is expected to be sidelined for the clashes against West Ham and Monaco.
On the other hand, left-back Nacho Monreal and Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny have a good chance to make the squad, after both missing out due to back strain and illness respectively. Everyone else is passed fit to play.
For Manchester United, former Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie will miss Monday’s clash due to an ankle injury, Jonny Evans will also miss out after officially being handed a 6 match ban due to improper conduct, for the incident in midweek against Newcastle, and left-back Luke Shaw has a hamstring problem.
Predicted Line-Ups
Arsene Wenger may be tempted to stick with the same team which saw off QPR in midweek, though was quoted in saying that Szczesny will replace David Ospina in goal if passed fit.
All eyes will be on if Danny Welbeck starts against this former club though, and for this encounter, he may just get his chance.
