But in the midst of all of the transfer rumours, one Ligue 1 ace has issued a plea to some of Europe’s biggest clubs after deciding not to extend his contract at Monaco.

Thomas Lemar has been one of the names popping up across the British press in recent weeks, and it’s believed the interest has tempted the 21-year-old to leave.

According to the latest reports from L’equipe, Arsenal are looking to raid Monaco this summer and as well as picking up Kylian Mbappe, they want Lemar too.

Playing as an attacking winger on the left hand side, the French international is one of Arsene Wenger’s preferred options with the ability to use him as a long-term investment.

The futures of Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are in doubt so Lemar would instantly come in to fill the void, and could cost less than £30million.

Monaco aren’t going to let their man go easily though, and with Manchester City also stealing three of their players so far, Arsenal could struggle.

Lemar has a contract until 2020 but in football that really doesn’t mean much anymore, and it’ll be player power that forces this move through.

Early reports suggest he’s desperate to come and play football in London with both Arsenal and Spurs eyeing the midfielder to build a genuine title challenge next season.
