Of the 3 this would be my pick. Arsene Wenger is believed to be a long time admirer of the Leverkusen midfielder, not least because of his versatility and all round play, both offensively and defensively.
Bender is very efficient in his tackling, averaging a 75% success rate per game and just over three successful tackles every 90 minutes. He also has a great engine, which allows him to cover great distances around the pitch and be equally effective in any area of the field he finds himself in.
Ultimately though this would prove to be a rather unlikely signing and the price tag could be a sticking point.
With Arteta’s recent injury a defensive midfielder now seems a must, and should the Khedira deal not happen I’d expect to see one of the three through the door. All the player offer something slightly different but in my opinion would all prove effective were they to sign on.
